The Champions

SouthCentral Titans Take 2010 Title

The agony and the ecstasy: The SouthCentral Titans celebrate their first AABL Championship following their 2-0 win over the Hornets.  Charlton Ferriera got the win with 8+ innings of two hit ball. #5 Mike Smith slammed the door shut on the defending champs after inheriting two runners with nobody out in the 9th. Catcher Willie Paul caught a masterpiece while driving in the dagger with two out in the bottom of the 8th - and his Titans may be found out in the gritty city of Anchorage tonight, celebrating.  Amazing season Hornets , Titans, and AABL-entire.  Better every time.

Titans again just three outs from title

2-0 Mid 9th: Ty Young Award winner Charlton Ferreira has surrendered just a pair of singles, Mike Smith and Ken Wooster are warming, Willie Paul just knocked in a two-out insurance run that might be the dagger; but the defending champion Hornets still have three outs to live.

Titans take lead into final three frames: 9 Outs from title town

1-0 Middle 7th: Chris Breck has hit a couple hard, but there are still only a handful of hits between both title contenders on the evening.

1-0 Titans, Mid 6th

Farkas Dealing: As expected, we've got ourselves a duel.  Fark has sprinkled four hits over five frames; C4 has allowed just one hit through six.

1-0 Titans, End 2nd
The futile triangle: C4's bleeder to lead off cost the Hornets the early lead and a heads up play by Titans catcher Willie Paul turned a two-on nobody out scenario into another fruitless trip to the plate.  Watch KIMO 13 News for your local scene and all news needs, they plugged the Championship game on tonight's broadcast.
